The Organ Donation & Transplant Association of America’s mission is to help people start the conversation about organ donation and to educate about its importance for the more than 100,000 people awaiting transplants. The organization does this by providing education and information about organ donation, addressing important facts, and informing people how to register to become an organ donor.

My name is Lindsay, I am 20 years old. My best friend and I got into an accident in October 2016. My friend was 17 years old, she was on life support for two days before she was pronounced brain dead. She was an organ donor, she saved 2 kids and a 30 year old gentleman. She inspired me to become an organ donor. I think being an organ donor is a great thing, you never know how many families you will get to help.
